This is a joint program of the three Fire Departments, Trumbull Center, Long Hill and Nichols that serve the town and is a service made available to the Trumbull Police Department.

To provide an avenue for rapid dissemination of critical emergency information directly to the residents and employees of the Trumbull community via electronic communication.

By registering for this system you will receive email notifications that are considered critical to one or all segments of the Trumbull population. There will be two types of messages, an Alert and an Advisory.

Alerts are time critical and should be taken very seriously. They may apply to one area or all of Trumbull. Alerts are things like, missing persons, Hazardous material spills and evacuations, etc.

Advisories are also critical however, the time for sending/receiving the message is less important. This will be used for items like, excessive smoke from a fire, water pressure/flow changes, power failures effecting large segments of streetlights, major road closures due to Fire or Police activity, large training incidents which may appear to be real, etc.

Will I receive news or updates from the Town of Trumbull?

No, in order to receive TrumbullNet notifications, such as notices of local events, updates on local programs and services, and information from Town Hall, you must sign up for that service via their website at http://www.trumbullct.com
